Decker Announces Ambitious Schedule for 2017 Racing Season
Natalie Decker has a packed 2017 racing schedule planned and couldn’t be more excited about what the upcoming race season holds in store. Along with racing at local Wisconsin tracks like State Park Speedway, Golden Sands Speedway and Marshfield Motor Speedway, the 19-year-old driver will compete full time on the ARCA Midwest Tour.
“I’m really looking forward to running the ARCA Midwest Tour,” Decker said. “It is an awesome group of people and many people are involved”
The Eagle River, Wisconsin driver’s 2017 campaign kicks off April 9 at Dells Raceway Park (WI) for the Ice Breaker 100 and ends at the same track on October 21 during the Falloween 150. In between, she’ll visit more than 10 other tracks across the Midwest, including Slinger Speedway for the Slinger Nationals.
The Decker racing team made a few changes in the offseason, including moving their shop back home and also bringing Kyle Wolosek on board as the new crew chief. Wolosek recently moved back to Wisconsin after working for Hendrick Motorsports and Kyle Busch Motorsports in North Carolina.
“We now own our own car and I am super excited,” Decker stated. “Our shop is based out of Eagle River, right next to our house, so we no longer have to travel far to be a part of the shop environment. I am also super excited about my new crew chief, Kyle Wolosek, and look forward to winning many races with him on board.”
